Defendant-Appellant Jason Keliikoaikaika Kalaola (Kalaola) appeals from the Judgment filed on April 18, 2008, in the Circuit Court of the First Circuit (circuit court).Plaintiff-Appellee State of Hawaii (State) charged Kalaola by complaint with one count of failure to disperse, in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) § 711-1102 (1993 & Supp. 2008).Following a jury trial, Kalaola was found guilty as charged. The circuit court sentenced Kalaola to one year of probation, subject to the condition that he serve thirty days in jail. Kalaola was released on bail pending appeal.
